AKINWAMIDE ROTIMI JOINS ONDO ASSEMBLY RACE, PICKS APC NOMINATION FORMS


Hon. Rotimi Akinwamide has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly, representing the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency, following his purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms.

The move marks a significant step ahead of the party’s primary election, as Akinwamide positions himself among aspirants seeking to secure the APC ticket for the constituency.

In a statement made available to party stakeholders, Akinwamide expressed appreciation to key leaders within the party and government for providing what he described as a transparent and inclusive process that allows aspirants to participate freely in the primaries.

He acknowledged the leadership of the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa; the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Hon. Olaoluwa Akindolire; the State Party Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatun; the Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, Hon. Adebare Adeboye; and the APC Chairman in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo, Hon. Jerome Olorunyolemi.

According to him, the decision by party leaders to conduct a primary election reflects a strong commitment to internal democracy, fairness, and the continued growth of the APC in Ondo State.

Akinwamide also appealed to party members and supporters across the constituency to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and focused throughout the primary process, stressing the importance of discipline and respect for party guidelines.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of the APC and pledged to work with stakeholders to advance the interests of the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency if given the mandate.

Political activities are expected to intensify in the coming weeks as aspirants continue consultations ahead of the APC primaries in Ondo State.
